Energy budget

Plan today by what it costs you and what gives energy back.

Low energy · 2 minSaved on this device only
The short version
  1. Many autistic adults have less energy to spend on things like noise, socializing, and change, and need more time to recover.
  2. This page lets you plan a day like a budget: what costs energy, and what gives it back.
  3. Pick how full you feel, tap what's on today, then add refills. The bar shows what's left.
  4. If the day costs more than you have, move or shrink one thing. That is planning, not failing.
  5. Your plan saves on this device and shows up in My kit.

Plan today

1. How full is your battery right now?

2. What's on today?

Numbers are rough energy costs. Change them for yourself by adding your own.

3. What can you fit in to refill?

Why this works

Planning by energy, not just by time, is something many autistic and disabled people already do. You may have heard it called spoon theory or energy accounting. The point is to see the cost of a day before you're in it, so you can protect the refills instead of only noticing when you run out.

If most days come out negative, that is useful information. It can be a sign of burnout, or a reason to ask for changes at work.
