Only if it helps. Some people feel worse when they try to breathe on purpose. If that's you, skip this one and watch the Lava lamp instead.
How it works
A circle that grows and shrinks. Breathe with it. No counting, no voice, nothing to get right.
Tap the circle to start and tap again to stop. Slow is five seconds in and five out, a pace most people find settling. Sigh is two breaths in and one long breath out, the pattern that did best in a 2023 Stanford trial for lowering arousal. Box and 4-7-8 add a pause. "Hold to breathe" has no clock at all: the circle grows while you press and shrinks when you let go, so you set the pace. Turn on sound for a soft note at each change, or vibration on phones that have it. Your pace choice is saved on this device.
